We do a LOT of custom wedding invitations, but this one for Elissa and Tyler was one of our favorites this year!  They got married this past weekend in Canada, and it sounded like such a fun weekend.  Elissa used to own a lingerie boutique in Lubbock, so we met several years ago through a bridal organization.  When it came time for her to start planning her Big Day, we were thrilled that she wanted us to do the invitations. She knew she wanted something non-traditional and fun, since their guests would be traveling from all over the United States to Canada for the weekend.  She wanted watercolored succulents and a custom map – to showcase landmarks in the area – including her family’s own island – how cool is that?!

We were so happy that Emily from Magnolia Creative jumped on board for the custom watercolor details and map, and they turned out just beautifully!   First, she sketched out the design and then hand-painted the map and little succulent elements.  After she scanned and them them to us, we placed them in the invitation design and added the wording.

The invitation is four panels, with the last one perforated so guests can tear off and return it easily.

We love everything about how this design turned out!  From the color of the envelope, to the custom envelope liner, to the perforated reply postcard as the last panel in the design – it all works together so beautifully!

Thanks for letting us work with you Elissa, it was such a treat!  Emily at Magnolia Creative, thank YOU for collaborating with us and creating such beautiful and special artwork for this couple – we know they will cherish the map for years to come.

Congratulations Elissa and Tyler – we wish you all the best!  (photo borrowed from Facebook)
